Unsolicited concept redesign for a Hokkaido property business, built to show what the site could be rather than to describe it.
Worth saying plainly before anything else: this was not commissioned and the business has not engaged us. It is a speculative redesign built on our own time, shown here as a demonstration rather than as client work.
Property in Hokkaido sells to two completely separate markets. Domestic Japanese buyers and overseas buyers looking at the Niseko area want different information, in different languages, with different assumptions about how a property listing should read. Most sites in that market pick one audience and machine-translate for the other.
A bilingual structure where each language is a real site rather than a translation layer, listings that carry the measurements and terms each market actually uses, and an enquiry flow that routes by language so the reply comes back from someone who can answer in it.
